A Christmas Miracle in Nigeria

For the last several years, Christmas has been one of the most deadly times of year for Nigerian Christians, but this year was different.

Christians around the world have finally woken up to the persecution against Christians in Nigeria and they have done so in spite of mainstream media, which has joined the Muslim lie, gas-lighting the world by insisting that the persecution is not about Muslims attacking Christians, but is instead “tribal” or the “result of climate change.”

As Christians have grown more aware of how deadly Christmas and Easter are for believers in Nigeria, they have started to pray. This year, Christians around the world prayed for their Nigerian brothers and sisters to have a safe Christmas and, from the reports coming in, it seems that their prayers were answered!

A Christmas miracle for peace on earth in Nigeria has seemed impossible for the last decade. Last Christmas alone, more than 150 Christians were slaughtered and their church was burned down during one of the bloodiest Christmas slaughters in recent memory. Every year it has only grown worse, but this year, it seems that there has been a direct answer to prayer.

This year, BTJ carried out a project called CHRISTMAS IN NIGERIA where thousands of Nigerian Christians were given food, aid, and a safe place to celebrate Christmas. This year, for the first time in many years, there were no reports of Christians being killed on Christmas Eve or Christmas day!

Several pastors from Nigeria have been writing to the supporters of BTJ and thanking them for their help and support. “We are so thankful for all the support we have received from BTJ,” one pastor writes as aid was delivered the week before Christmas.

This year, an average of 32 Christians have been slaughtered daily in Nigeria because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for the people of Nigeria as they face extreme persecution.
