It has been 10 months since Zion Church Pastor Lin Shucheng was arrested. He was recently charged with fraud. He, along with seven others, remain imprisoned awaiting their respective trials.
Last month, his wife, Sister Tao Tingting, gave birth to a boy. Pastor Shucheng has never seen his new son, Zhuoyi. She is left raising their three children on her own. Because of the Chinese authorities, the only communication she has had with her husband has been a few irregular letters that he has written to her.
In a recent interview, Sister Tingting affirmed their innocence, stating that her and her husband have done nothing to harm society, as the Chinese authorities have alleged.
She also expressed her desire for the authorities to open their eyes and to look at the people that they are detaining, because every detained person represents a family.
Recently, BTJ was able to give a financial gift to Sister Tao Tingting to help with their household expenses.
Like Pastor Lin Shucheng and Sister Tao Tingting, all across China, there are many Christians who are being persecuted. BTJ is committed to bringing continued awareness, as well as providing ongoing financial and prayerful support to our persecuted Chinese brethren.
Please continue to pray for the eight remaining imprisoned Zion church leaders and their families.
