The Coronavirus in China and North Korea

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a plague attacking China. China has tried to hide the virus from the rest of the world and, as a result, the disease is running rampant.
Coronavirus has brought death, disease, and, unfortunately, more persecution to Christians.
Not even during an international tragedy can the Chinese government stop and embrace the support of Christians and unite with them against the coronavirus. Christians that have attempted to provide help were arrested and their aid confiscated! BTJ sent aid, but churches warned that China is prohibiting aid offered by Christians.
According to one message sent to BTJ in January, “Please pray for our church as we hand out aid in the city of Wuhan. …two of our friends have been taken to jail and all of their [belongings], including masks, were confiscated.”
Christians thrown in jail are more likely to contract the virus due to their close proximity with others carrying the disease and the lack of available sanitation. Authorities in China have gone even further by raiding homes and forcibly dragging out those suspected of being exposed to the virus!
China has not been alone in stepping up their attacks on Christians during this international disaster. North Korea announced that the coronavirus emergency is a matter of national survival.
It is.
North Korea is hiding everything having to do with the coronavirus in their country. They say that they do not have anyone with the virus, but no one believes it.
North Korea is an information black hole. While no one knows the true extent of what is going on there, we do have some information because of BTJ workers inside the country.
“North Korea has been executing people suspected of having been exposed to the virus,” said one BTJ worker in a text. This might confirm reports of a North Korean government official suspected of being executed after visiting a Chinese public bath.
North Korea is taking extreme measures because the coronavirus would be catastrophic in the country. They lack proper medical supplies, basic medications and the infrastructure to deal with an outbreak. Many of its regions are poverty-stricken. It would be so disastrous because the country does not have the items needed for cleaning and sterilization. Women and children are seriously malnourished and, therefore, more susceptible to infections.
The only way for China and North Korea to deal with the situation is to stop persecuting Christians and allow them the freedom to unleash the strength of their services to help provide aid and disease prevention!
That is it. That is the only real solution.
