BTJ 500th Podcast Episode: How Many Chinese Missionaries are there?

This week is special at Back to Jerusalem as we celebrate our 500th BTJ Podcast episode. The podcast has grown beyond our wildest dreams and we want to say thank you to all of our supporters who have been following us since the beginning.
We want to make the 500th episode a podcast you will never forget!
In this special podcast, we share information that we have been compiling for many years and have never before shared on air.
Many of your questions will be answered in this podcast:
How many Chinese missionaries are serving outside of China? I will answer that.
How many Chinese are really coming to Christ in China every day? I will answer that AND show how the numbers are calculated.
In addition to that, for this special 500th podcast I want to share something that we have never shared in a podcast before. I want to take you back to my early days with Back to Jerusalem when there were zero Chinese missionaries serving abroad and talk about how the Chinese church grew to be the largest missionary nation in the world today, as it pertains to the 10/40 Window.
The BTJ podcast has become one of the most listened-to mission podcasts in the world, and yet, it does not cost the ministry a dime. It is not recorded in a studio. We do not use any special microphones. We do not have a professional editor or editing program. It is all recorded on my Samsung Galaxy 9 mobile phone. That’s it!
I use a generic recording software called Audio Recorder, that I downloaded for free.
The BTJ podcast started as a way for us to provide direct reports to our supporters from the field, but the listener base grew from there. Since we started, we have had tens of thousands of listeners from around the world. In the last three months (March – June) we have had more than 28k downloads of our simple missions podcast from 85 different countries.
None of this would have been possible without the kind support of our BTJ partners around the world.
For all of you that have been faithfully supporting BTJ – this podcast is for you!
