Former Fox News host and the highest rated news anchor, Tucker Carlson, sat down with Russian President Vladimir Putin for an exclusive interview.
The interview has been labeled by almost every major news outlet as Russian propaganda and damaging to global democracy, giving legitimacy to the desperate Russian President. The most frightening thing, however, might be less about the propaganda and more about EU’s new tyrannical anti-free-speech laws that could easily be used against Christians.
EU’s far-reaching new speech suppressing laws that regulate tech companies could be used to charge any platform that carries speech that they deem “harmful.” These kind of laws are commonly used against Christians in China and ironically, also in Russia. Today, the EU might be outlawing political journalism, but tomorrow it could easily be used against Biblical teaching by Christians.
The fact is, two years after Russia invaded Ukraine, no western journalist has done an interview with Russian President Putin. Carlson is the first. “Two years into a war that’s reshaping the entire world, most Americans are not informed. They have no real idea what’s happening in this region,” Carlson said after returning to America. “But they (Americans) should know they are paying for most of it in a way they might not fully yet perceive,” he added.
“Most Americans have no idea why Putin invaded Ukraine or what his goals are now,” he said. “We are not here because we love Vladimir Putin … We are not encouraging you to agree with what Putin may say in this interview, but we are urging you to watch it. You should know as much as you can.”
Unlike most interviews that only last for a few minutes, the entire video has been posted for free in its entirety. The two hour video has been posted for free on Carlson’s website and on YouTube.
In the case of EU’s new laws, Christians can learn a lot from China’s history of censoring information and free speech in the name of “protecting” the people. This is one of the reasons why BTJ launched a free speech social media platform. To sign up today for a free account, go to www.dingdash.com
