Students at North Carolina State University are catching the fire to complete the Great Commission using BTJ’s Chasing Revival Bible study series.
In the summer of 2022, Pastors Joe and Margie Parrillo started a ministry on the campus of NC State University called IgniteGEN Missions with a vision to bring the love of Jesus and campus awakening to ignite a disciple making movement.
In 2023, Margie read the Heavenly Man book which completely transformed her way of thinking of the mission field, as it pertains to the Chinese underground house church. After connecting with BTJ and becoming a GateKeeper, her and her husband Joe decided to attend the BTJ Voice of the Persecuted Church conference where they heard several members of the underground house church share about their experiences.
They returned back to campus with several books, including the Bible study series Chasing Revival, where students presented messages and Powerpoint presentations on the 9-part study that follows the movement of the Gospel around the world. This is the same Bible study series that was launched at Princeton University several years ago and made a huge impact among the Christian study groups.
“They were quite creative with power point presentations and thought-provoking questions and rarely kept to their 30 minute time limit!” Joe and Margie wrote in a recent email. “We saw so much growth in our student’s faith, commitment to sharing the Gospel on the campus and knowing that the Great Commission rests on THEIR shoulders. We saw dramatic shifts in their openness to receiving spiritual gifts, healing of addictions and a desire to serve on the mission field.”
There has been a real enthusiasm for Chinese missions at NC State University and on October 1st, BTJ will be speaking on campus at the Talley Student Union, Room 3285 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM.
