REDISCOVERED AFTER 2,000 YEARS! The Road Jesus Would Have Walked in Jerusalem Now Open to Visitors

If you have never been to Jerusalem, now is the time to go! An underground secret street that Jesus likely walked on just opened up for the first time!

Pilgrimage Road in the City of David, also known as the “Stepped Street,” has been fully revealed after more than six years of meticulous archaeological excavation by a dedicated team of Israeli archaeologists and researchers, and it is now open for visitors to experience.

This underground treasure has been hidden for nearly 2,000 years, until a sewage pipe busted in 2004, and when the plumbers responded, they uncovered one of the most important archaeological finds in the 21st century.

For the last 20 years, archaeologists and engineers have worked day and night, uncovering the ancient pathway and restoring it to its former glory. The project became one of the most logistically challenging and costly excavations ever undertaken in Israel history.

Pilgrimage Road is a monumental Second Temple–period street that was the main route used by Jewish pilgrims to ascend from the Pool of Siloam to the Temple Mount during the three major Jewish holidays requiring pilgrimage to the Temple: Passover (Pesach), Shavuot (Feast of Weeks), and Sukkot (Feast of Booths/Tabernacles), collectively known as the Pilgrimage Festivals – carrying their prayers and offerings to the heart of the city’s spiritual life.

This is the road that Jesus would have taken for the feasts and is important for both Christian and Jews. It is more than just a piece of history, it is a living, breathing corridor of faith – one that carries the footsteps of Kings, prophets, pilgrims, and Jesus Himself.
