Prayers Needed for My Close Friend Arrested in China

This is not just another article about a Chinese Christian being thrown in jail. Today, it is more personal. Someone, who is less like a coworker and more of a family member, was arrested and thrown in jail.

There is so much I want to share, but I am simply not able to, due to safety reasons.

Sorry.

Yesterday I received a phone call from China. The person calling is like a brother to me. I know him so well, so I know exactly what he sounds like on the phone, but yesterday he sounded different.

“What’s wrong? You sound sick?”

“No. I am not sick. (Name withheld) was arrested and taken to jail. They were teaching a group of believers in a house church meeting when the police raided their home.”

I paused. I was stunned. I have traveled all around the world with this person. We have traveled in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, America, Thailand, Dubai, Iraq, Iran, etc. We know each other so well and it is not easy to imagine them in jail for doing what we always do together – preaching the Good News.

The persecution in China is increasing and today it hits very close to home for me.

Please pray for our dear friend in China, who has been arrested and is sitting in jail for their faith in Jesus Christ.

Updates on this prayer request will be regularly posted on DingDash.

Dr. Eugene Bach is a known trouble-maker with an active imagination and sinful past. He has a PhD, but is not a real doctor, so please do not call for him during a medical emergency on an airplane when someone is having a heart attack. Eugene started working for Back to Jerusalem in the year 2000 after a backroom deal involving Chinese spies, the NRA, Swiss bankers, and a small group of Apostolic Christians that only baptize in Jesus’ name. He spends most of his time in closed countries attempting to topple governments by proclaiming the name of Jesus and not taking showers. From time-to-time he pretends to be a writer. He is not good at it, but everyone around him tries to humor him.

Father I lift this person up to you now, please give their family peace, comfort and support during this time and let them know that their loved one is being prayed for right now at this moment. Father, for the person that has been arrested and thrown in jail, I pray that you give them comfort and peace right now allow them to not only feel the prayers being prayed for them, but to hear them in their spirit as well. I speak courage into them and ask Father that you help them to stand firm in the Truth as Paul did when he stood before those who had put him into prison as well. Father let your Light shine that all may see. In Jesus Name Amen
