38 year old pastor, David Washume, was killed by angry Islamists after leading Muslims to the Lord.
According to a report by Morning Star News, Pastor David Washume was stabbed to death on April 3rd after three days of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
During his three days of in the Nalondo, Buwalasi, and Nabumali areas of eastern Uganda, Pastor David Washume is said to have used verses from the Quran and compared them to the teachings of the Bible. This led to many people responding and giving their lives to Christ, including many Muslims.
Angered by so many giving their life to Jesus, Muslims began protesting.
On the evening of April 3rd, Pastor David was walking home together with fellow evangelist Fred Wepuhulu. “As we were nearing our village,” Fred recalls, “we met three masked men dressed in Muslim attire, with knives, while speaking the Arabic language. They stopped us and told us to surrender our bags.”
When the Muslims looked into the bags, they found both Bibles and a Quran. Fred remembers, “One shouted in our local language, ‘They are the ones, they are the ones… Kill, kill them!’”
Fred was able to wrestle with one and escape, but two other men held on to Pastor David and eventually stabbed him to death. The Muslims left the knife as a warning to other Christians with a note that read, “You infidels will meet Allah in judgment.”
Sadly, this story, as well as many like it, where Muslims continue to slaughter Christians is not covered in many news outlets. It is important for the church to know what Christians in the 10/40 window face every day.
