North Korea Issues State of Emergency

North Korea has issued a state of emergency, warning that the country has reached a “major crisis point.”
In a recent order issued throughout the country, North Korea’s State Emergency Anti-epidemic Command (SEAC) is warning that the country could experience a COVID-19 crisis in June or July, according to a recent report.
According to a Daily NK source, farms are specifically being emphasized as areas that will experience shortages due to the “infectious disease,” but the people must push forward “without retreating.”
People in North Korea are already dying from starvation. In a separate Daily NK report, around 20 residents from South Hwanghae Province recently died from starvation. This is why BTJ has been providing funding and support for food through a back-channel established inside the country.
The current situation is dire and needs immediate prayer.
