Letter from the Office

Dear Reader,

Greetings from the UK office! As you have received this newsletter, I want to thank you for partnering with us, through Gatekeepers, through prayer, or any other way that you stand with us.

By joining with us to see the Great Commission fulfilled and the 10/40 window evangelised, we share in our burden for those who have not yet had the life-changing privilege of meeting with Jesus. In week 9 of the BTJ ‘Chasing Revival Bible Study’, it is shared that “we have the opportunity to be [Jesus’] hands and feet to a dying world and go to the darkest places. Why are they dark? Because there is no light. If our hearts are not broken with the Lord, then yes, we have a problem… and we need to fix it.” We live in a world that seems to be so completely covered in darkness, and yet, inside of you and I dwells the Light of the world. The Holy Spirit urges us to play our part in fulfilling the Great Commission. “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” (Acts 13:47). Still, in our Western world, how many of us take up that call each morning? How many of us consider our part done after inviting someone to church and leaving it to the pastor to lead them to salvation?

Sometimes the task of the Great Commission seems insurmountable, but we all have our responsibility. Perhaps for you this is sharing Jesus with your neighbour – I would encourage you to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you and through you, that you may be a light wherever you go. There may also be those of you reading who feel the Holy Spirit tugging at your heart for a nation in the 10/40 window – to not just share Jesus with those who have not yet had a revelation of Him, but have never even heard His name. Don’t neglect that prompting, but listen to His call.

The Great Commission is bigger than any single organisation. However, if you feel led to serve with us, there are various opportunities. From wherever in the world you read this, reach out to any one of our BTJ offices and ask how you can be involved.

Isaiah 6:8: “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’. Then I said ‘Here I am! Send me.’”

We are so excited to have Brother Yun back with us for our June 2019 tour. We’ll be spending time in both England and Ireland. See page 14 for his schedule – come and join us!
