Many in China are asking if this cycle will ever end…
China is putting one of its largest cities on extreme lockdown after a new outbreak of coronavirus cases. Xi’an, a city of 13 million people, has been ordered to go into lockdown again and the residents are being forced to test for the Covid-19 virus. This is one of China’s largest forced lockdowns since 2020.
China is rigidly sticking to its zero-Covid strategy before the Beijing Olympics which are set for February 2022.
In previous lockdowns, the Chinese government has been known to weld doors shut to keep residents from leaving their homes. Some city residents are already pleading for help – with no way of getting food, some are concerned they may starve to death during the lockdown.
Because of the uptick of persecution in China, Chinese underground house church members have been secretly meeting in person. The in-person meetings break the new lock-down rules.
