BTJ’s New Children’s Book Deemed Too Radical for Bookstores

Back to Jerusalem is introducing a series of new books that might be too radical for most Christian book stores.

“These books are great, but I am afraid that they may be too heavy on miracles for the mainstream Christian market,” said one Christian publishing executive. “We would love to introduce them to several Christian book stores, but because there are so many miracles in them we are afraid that they are just too risky.”

It was an honest evaluation from a publisher with years of experience.

Back to Jerusalem’s new children’s books share the brave true stories that missionaries experience on the mission field. They are unashamedly filled with stories of missionaries who are dedicated and self-sacrificial when delivering the Good News to the darkest regions on earth.

These new books are filled with verified stories that share adventures of so many young heroes of faith.  These are the books that so many parents have been waiting for. Can you imagine children, in their most formative years, learning to read with stories of missionaries going to Tibet, Somalia, or Saudi Arabia?

Each book in the new series is filled with cross-cultural details about unreached areas. In a fun and enjoyable way, the books use classical language to tell timeless stories of missionaries and their faith in God during dangerous times.

Chinese is the number one language that children are studying globally, so Back to Jerusalem has written our books to introduce the Chinese language in a way that is natural for children to understand. The Chinese language is weaved right into the fabric of every story.  Your child will be learning the Chinese language and not even know they are learning!  Our method of introducing the Chinese language is effortless.

After reading the first book only one time, it is guaranteed that your children will know several Chinese words.

In addition, when you buy a Back to Jerusalem children’s book, you are also contributing to missions.

In fact, 100% of all profits from the book sales go to Back to Jerusalem to help support mission efforts on the field. Not even one penny is given in royalties to authors, illustrators, or publishers.

On top of that (as if that was not enough), when you buy a Back to Jerusalem children’s book you are also giving a book.  We call this our BUY A BOOK GIVE A BOOK plan. The Back to Jerusalem children’s books are being translated into Chinese, Arabic, and Korean so that they can be distributed in countries that are closed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

With all of this it is hard to explain why Christian book stores would not want to carry books like these. Because of Miracles? That is interesting when bookstores, like Logos Christian book store in Illinois, happily children’s books teaching about the fantasy of black magic in Harry Potter.

It is hard NOT to give our children books about modern day Christian missions when they are constantly being inundated with books like “Heather Has Two Mommies” to introduce them to the idea of homosexuality. Even more brazen are books like “Sister Apple, Sister Pig,” a 33-page picture book making abortion more delightful for children.

Modern day role models from the mission field are needed more now than ever. From sports to pop culture, children are given the widest range of selfish egomaniacs to choose from than at any other time in history to have as their role models.   ABOVE, the book, My Beautiful Mommy is a children’s book written by a cosmetic surgeon, edifying the value of superficial looks.

The 25th annual Kids Choice awards for Nickelodeon was Nicki Minaj, whose most notorious song is “Anaconda,” a song about an abusive boyfriend drug dealer who only has sex with her because of her body parts.

Allow children to maintain their innocence.  Reject the things that the world wants to give our children.  Bring them back to the Biblical belief that God can answer prayer and we should follow His plan for our lives even if it means absolute sacrifice.

Back to Jerusalem children’s books are the perfect gift for your children, grandchildren, or church library.

If you believe that the miraculous God of the Bible did not die and is still alive today and moving in the lives of His people, then these books are for your family.

Dr. Eugene Bach is a known trouble-maker with an active imagination and sinful past. He has a PhD, but is not a real doctor, so please do not call for him during a medical emergency on an airplane when someone is having a heart attack. Eugene started working for Back to Jerusalem in the year 2000 after a backroom deal involving Chinese spies, the NRA, Swiss bankers, and a small group of Apostolic Christians that only baptize in Jesus’ name. He spends most of his time in closed countries attempting to topple governments by proclaiming the name of Jesus and not taking showers. From time-to-time he pretends to be a writer. He is not good at it, but everyone around him tries to humor him.
