What’s your story, does God have a plan for you?

My story is a unique one, as is yours. God had to take me through many experience to get me to where I am today. Some I went through cheerfully and obediently, and others I did not handle so well. But the truth of the matter is I would not be who I am today if it were not for all He has taken me through.

One lesson God had to show me is that He is never finished with us. After living on the mission field for 10 years, God brought us back to the USA. It was during this time that I had some of my greatest struggles; why did God give us the opportunity to meet with Chinese House Church leaders, why did we have the opportunity to get to know Brother Yun (The Heavenly Man), why did we get to meet and partner with the people from Back to Jerusalem, and then why did He remove us from all this, and bring us back to the USA to work in construction? It just didn’t make sense, and I must confess, at times I did not handle it so well.

During those years, a dear pastor friend of mine once told me that God was not done with me yet, that He still had a plan for me. At the time I am not sure I believed him, but looking back, he was so right. Through multiple steps including Brother Yun speaking at a church in our area, helping to organize his return the next year, and being invited to a Back to Jerusalem Ambassadors meeting, God made it so clear to us that we were to join Back to Jerusalem and help work in the USA office. It was a step of faith, but then again, not really. Pulling our children out of their school and moving our family 1,800 miles had its stress, but more than that it brought joy and hope back into our lives. All the questions, and all we went through suddenly began to make sense, when God brought everything back around, and connected the dots.

We have been with Back to Jerusalem almost three years now, and are so blessed to work with this team. The love, humility and desire to see Gods kingdom come to all people is unlike anything we have seen or experienced. To see the vision of reaching the unreached go beyond the borders of any organization is so refeshing. We count it a privilege to be a small part of what may be the largest revival this world has ever seen. To see this turning into the largest mission movment in the history of earth is amazing.

Now here is the best part: what we do really isn’t that much. We are here to serve the Chinese and their vision. My job is to help spread that awareness, and to help raise suport for it. Anyone can do that, it does not take anything special, no special calling, no degree, or experience, just the desire and willingness to let God use you. Would you care to join us?

You may be asking, “well what can I do?” Simple, you can pray. Prayer has touched the lives of so many people, and knows no borders. If you would like to do more, consider talking about Back to Jerusalem with your family, friends and church. Share us and like us on social media. Listen to the Back to Jerusalem Podcast to stay informed, and consider joining in partnership with Back to Jerusalem as a GateKeeper.

Now, working in an office every day is not always that exciting, but what is exciting is to see how God is using the church in the west to partner with the church in the east to bring to completion the great commission! And once or twice a year, I get to reconnect with our dear Brother Yun!

So if you are in a time of transition or the unknown let me leave you with the words that were an encouragement to me. God is not done with you, He has a plan for your life, and it is a good one!
