Visiting the Cambodian House Church

Recently, we were able to take a team and spend some time with the Cambodian house church – it was such a blessing!

The House Church we visited was divided into two groups: adults and kids. Like Jesus, we distributed food to those in need in the surrounding areas and shared about why we were doing it. It was really encouraging to see everyone, even the village leaders, raising their hands, eager to learn more about how to secure their ticket to Heaven.

The curiosity and enthusiasm in the eyes of the children truly warmed our hearts. Moments like these remind us of the profound impact we can have on young lives through our faith and community. The following was written by an individual, Joe (not his real name), who was part of the fellowship that took place on that day:

There was this young girl, all eager and keen to make friends. She pointed at herself and Kara, beaming with pride as she said, “friend.” It was such a touching moment. Before we left, I softly asked Kara if she could say a little prayer for her new buddy. I managed to capture that beautiful moment in a photo that just says it all.

I observed how the older women adored Ellie and Wilson, gently asking them to sit among them. Ellie even seemed to be worshiping, not from the outside but right there among them. Initially, Wilson appeared overwhelmed, but he quickly became engaging. These are just a few of the many things I noticed beneath the surface.

They are truly reflections of the Lord’s love.

Seeing the children as the gateway to the hearts of the village women, love kindled joy as they helped prepare and open the doors of the heart for Jesus to enter! There exists an infinite distance from the head to the heart that must first be bridged.

I am a Messianic Jewish believer that felt the tug of the L-rd towards the unreached. I decided I would go to China. My love for the Chinese people grew while I was there, but when I learned of the Back to Jerusalem movement, I knew the L-rd wanted me to be proclaiming His gospel message to the unreached people between China and Jerusalem. Let’s unite and complete the great commission. We need to accept the challenge Jesus has given us so that we can feel the exhilaration of victory.
