The Dove Training

Dear Praying Friends,
Warm greetings from sunny Hong Kong. Greetings also from an almost month-long trip to Canada. Despite all our efforts and prayers Anna and her new husband were unable to get visas. Hence, I had to go alone. But the Lord was already preparing me for this when I was visiting Vaasa, in Finland, at the end of December. I was praying with some sisters and God gave a prophecy via Anja, one of the sisters. The message said that Jesus had gone ahead to all the places where I was preparing to go. That was really encouraging!
My itinerary included three mission conferences: in Vancouver, Winnipeg and Edmonton. In addition to these there were meetings in different churches. I left Hong Kong on the evening of 28th January and arrived in Vancouver in the afternoon of the same date. The very next day I spoke to over thousand children. I received feed-back directly after when a little boy took hold of my sleeve and said, ”Thank you for a wonderful message!” Praise the Lord! The message of the Lord is always powerful.
At the main meeting the following evening I gave a shorter message. After the meeting the Chinese participants came to the front and just about filled it. They were asking for the Dove material for their own churches. Actually Vancouver is often called Hongcouver because there are so many immigrants from Hong Kong. On the Sunday I had in the Vancouver Finnish Pentecostal Church Finnish- and English-speaking services and later in the afternoon a service in Japanese church. The timetable was quite tight!
We returned to Galgary where during the week there was first a business breakfast with representatives of different denominations, then a meeting in a Chinese church. Also we made a couple of radio programs. On Friday we flew to Winnipeg to our next conference where I spoke about ” the key position children have in the Kingdom of God.” On Sunday we took part in the service of a local church.
On Monday we flew back to Galgary, where we visited a Christian school. After that there was a meeting with the Finns in Galgary, taping a TV program and a service with a congregation meeting in the Dream Centre. The people were amazingly open. I had the impression that these people had been praying and waiting, for during the speech someone in the pew was filled with the Holy Spirit. When I made an altar call, there was a young man who wanted to surrender his life to Jesus. After that everyone lined up for prayer. The Lord performed His wonders there and the atmosphere was heavenly. I almost think I was more blessed than they.
On Thursday we started driving from Galgary to Edmonton. Along the way we stopped at the Living Faith Bible school where I had an opportunity to speak to the students. Late that night we arrived at Edmonton, where the following day I spoke in a seminary on the topic ”Children are the Key.” I rejoiced for God was present there. Also, many wanted the Dove book.
Still on Sunday there was a meeting in a town called Re Deer. During the 24-day period in Canada there were 18 different meetings and the audience was always somewhat different. The whole trip left me deeply grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness. Me, I still only have just empty hands. He had truly gone before and prepared the harvest. The organization that invited me, has worked with us in China and made it possible for us to print and give to children 250 000 copies of the 84-page book called ”The Wonderful Story.” That book contains
colorful illustrations of all the main events of Jesus’ life. As a result of this trip we are likely to be able to print more of these books as well as the Chinese Dove books. Tired but happy, I started my return journey to Hong Kong from Edmonton via Vancouver. Glory to God for everything that He did!
Thank you for praying. They have again carried me so that I have been able to do what before-hand seemed completely impossible. The Lord is certainly going to see everything and reward you.
With love and blessings,
Pirkko
