North Korea Pulls Off the Largest Car Heist in History

It turns out there is a Bible verse that North Korea has never read pertaining to the idea that “thou shalt not steal,” because they currently hold the world record for the single largest car theft in history.
In the 1970s, when many still believed that socialism meant equality and not enforced serfdom, Sweden sold North Korea 1,000 Volvo cars. After delivering 1,000 sturdy Volvo sedans made by working class Swedes, the skilled proletariats patiently waited for North Korea to settle the equal distribution of payment. Unfortunately, as became the common thread for every Communist regime in history, equal distribution of wealth was one directional – to the leaders and never further.
49 years later, North Korea has still never paid for their cars and has been reflected in a Twitter post by History Vids saying, “In the 1970s, North Korea ordered 1,000 Volvo cars from Sweden. The cars were shipped & delivered but North Korea just didn’t bother paying and ignored the invoice. Till this day the bill remains unpaid making it the largest car theft in history.”

In North Korea, there are many interesting things that the world does not know. They always have their own path to development.
