Around 30 middle school students were marched out in front of a firing squad and executed according to a recent report. The children were punished for the capital crime of watching South Korean dramas.
South Korea has one of the largest churches in the world and their society has prospered greatly from their freedom of religion and spread of Christianity. Many TV shows in South Korea can inadvertently show this strong connection with Christianity, which is one of the many reasons why entertainment from South Korea is strictly forbidden in North Korea.
Public executions for watching South Korean TV is not uncommon in North Korea. In 2022, a UN Secretary-General report reported on a North Korean man who was publicly executed by firing squad after his neighbor saw him distributing digital content from South Korea.
North Korea vehemently denies carrying out executions, but many escapees tell stories of eyewitness accounts. Collaborating witnesses have testified to family members being forced to watch their loved ones publicly executed for the smallest of crimes.

It’s going to take a miracle to convert the North Korean government to the Sacred Heart of Jesus but let’s pray more and offer up personal sacrifices of self denial to beseech the Holy Spirit to make North Korea a beacon of Christ .
Eugene ,Thanks for reporting this terrifying story of the devil in North Korea . The evil of the N.Korean government will be washed away when Christ returns in Glory but we need to pray for the souls of the persecuted and dying .. Let’s pray to the Precious Blood of Jesus to save these innocent souls . “Most Precious Blood Of Jesus Christ Have Mercy On Us And On The Whole World “
