Greetings From the UK Office

Greetings from the UK office! We pray this newsletter finds you well, and as you read the various articles for this month, that you will be challenged, inspired, and moved to pray as you’ve never prayed before.

There is so much speculation around the current state of the world right now. People have long said that we are in the end times, and the various theories surrounding government response to COVID-19 have only fuelled that notion for some. To others, it may seem only that governments are trying with every good intent to handle a worldwide pandemic that nobody was prepared for.

Regardless of our position on this, our perspective should surely remain on the task we were given by Jesus. The Word is clear, that the “gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matt 24:14)

An estimated 3.2 billion people in the world remain unreached.

There are so many things which have the ability to distract the Church from the very reason we exist. This feels truer now than ever. Though we are watchful and prayerful over the events taking place in the world, may our eyes always remain on Jesus. “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart” (Jer 19:13). As we seek Him, we hear His heart for those who have never heard the hope of the Gospel that joins you and I through Christ.

In this newsletter, you will read about the explosion in Beirut, the darkness of North Korea, and continued persecution in China. Truly this world is in desperate need of Jesus. But rather than being in despair, let us go on. Let us go on, with an urgency in our hearts to “run with endurance the race that is set before us.” (Heb 12:1) Let us be fuelled by the knowledge that so many are still waiting to hear the Gospel.
