Former Muslims Coming to Christ in Iraq

“We have eight churches in Northern Iraq that are all made up of former Muslims and Yazidi members,” said the Iraqi pastor that we were meeting with. “We have seen so many people come to Christ since the invasion of ISIS in 2014.”
For security reasons, we cannot give the name of the pastor in Iraq, but he is working together with Muslims and Yazidis in refugee camps that are coming to Christ, but are too afraid to openly change their faith for fear of Muslim leaders inside the camps.
BTJ UK, led by Pastor Danny Miller, is taking on the task to support these eight churches by helping to provide locations for them to meet.
However, there is a continuing need for Bibles.
“The Bibles that BTJ supplies are perfect for our purposes,” says the pastor. “BTJ is an organization that supplies Bibles that are specifically designed for closed nations and allows Christians to read the Bible in a secure way that is safe.”
When asked how many Bibles the former Muslim and Yazidi Christians need, he quickly replied with “we could use 500 of these Bibles right away.”
We are now working to get Bibles to Iraq to put into the hands of those living in Muslim communities.
BTJ supporters and prayer partners (pictured above) joined us this week in Iraq and were able to sit and listen to the testimonies of the Iraqi pastor as he told about the needs of the Muslims and Yazidis coming to Christ.
It was great to listen to the Iraqi pastor, but now we must act to help these dear brothers and sisters who have left Islam and embraced the Truth of Jesus Christ.
If you would like to help get Bibles into the hands of those living in Iraq, you can do so right now by becoming a Gatekeeper.
