What you won’t see in the news is that churches have been burned to the ground, Nigerian Christians have been emptied from their villages, pastors have been targeted for their ministries and have had to flee and families have been chased from their homes. This is a real story. This is a real crisis. This is happening to real believers, right now.
It may be that while the world is celebrating in peace, love, and comfort, many Nigerian Christians are gathering to worship under the threat of attack, displacement, or death. This is not random violence, this is sustained, organized and well-supported violence. And we as Christians cannot and should not sit silently by as our brothers and sisters in suffer.
