Chinese Police Finally Found a Way to Catch Me – Popeyes Chicken

If the police were looking for a way to catch me – they found it!

Popeyes Chicken just opened their very first restaurant in Shanghai on Friday afternoon and I cannot wait to go!  Apparently, I am not the only one that loves Popeyes chicken.  The Cajun-chicken restaurant ran out of food after only a couple of hours. By 11 am on Friday, the line to Popeyes stretched outside and wrapped half a kilometer around the block.

Police had to be dispatched to the restaurant to control the hungry crowds. Not even a deadly virus could keep the Cajun-chicken lovers away. According to one report, Adam from South Africa, joined the line at 9:30 am and by 1 pm, he had only reached the outside of the front door. “Shanghai has gone back to normal. You just meet so many people on the way to work on the Metro, so it’s not necessary to worry about the virus,” Adam said with a relaxed smile. “But I have been here for a long time, and I hope the food is good.”

The new restaurant is in the Huangpu District of Shanghai. I am often known for meeting with underground house church leaders at my favorite fast food restaurants. Now all of the police in Shanghai know where to find me, because with redbeans and rice from Popeyes and their famous Cajun-fried chicken – I think I have found my new meeting place!
