Business Used For Mission

In March of this year, about 250 Christian Vietnamese business owners filled a conference room in the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh to learn how to use their companies to help complete the Great Commission.

These business owners represented companies big and small, local and international, family-owned and corporate.  They represented factories, publishers, restaurants, hotels, and many other types of businesses, but they all had a common vision – how to use their resources to share the Good News in the most unreached areas of the world.

The Vietnamese were not alone. Christian business owners from America, Malaysia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and China were also present, because they all seemed to understand that Business as Mission has emerged as one of the most significant methods for missionaries to gain access to closed nations between China and Jerusalem in today’s hostile environment. Nations that are closed to traditional missionary activities have open doors for business.

At the end of the conference, BTJ was able to partner with several businesses that will now provide platforms for businesses in China, Vietnam, Dubai, Iraq, Iran, and Somalia to name only a few.  BTJ was also able to invest in several small businesses that are ready to host missionaries in closed nations.

The next BTJ Business conference will be held in March 2025.  Details and registration will be on the Back to Jerusalem website in the fall of 2024.
