Bhutan is known as the land of the Thunder Dragon; a reference to its wild unforgiving thunderstorms striking the valleys from the peaks of the Himalayas. Those who have witnessed the dazzling lightning and ominous thunder have described it as demonic. It is so intense that the local tribes believed it to be from the fire of a dragon.
Bhutan is 99.6% unreached – meaning they have never heard the name of Jesus Christ.
To change that, BTJ has set up a secret recording studio inside Bhutan. Together, with a group of underground Christians, we have been secretly creating an audio Bible in one of the Bhutanese languages. It will be completed next year and ready for distribution and we are inviting you to come and join us as we hand out the Bible for the first time ever.
Next spring, we will host this tour in Bhutan, where pastors and church leaders from all over Bhutan will join us for a special conference. We will spend time with them, pray for their church and hand out audio Bibles.
Seriously! This is a mission trip unlike any other.
