Baptisms Continue in Midst of Persecution

It is easy to report about the increased persecution in China, but we mustn’t forget that the church continues to grow during these difficult times.

Two days ago, during a special Sunday morning service in China’s ancient capital city of Hangzhou, China, more than 30 new believers were baptized. According to China Christian Daily, Pastor Zhou Hongliang of the Gospel Church in Lin’an District, five churches came together to host the baptism after new believers passed a test demonstrating their faith.

After the baptism, Rev. Chen Rongmei presided over the first Communion that the new believers were able to join in.

Heaven rejoices over these new believers as do we! As the forces of darkness increase in the world, it has yet to overcome Life, because “in Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:4-5).

Dr. Eugene Bach is a known trouble-maker with an active imagination and sinful past. He has a PhD, but is not a real doctor, so please do not call for him during a medical emergency on an airplane when someone is having a heart attack. Eugene started working for Back to Jerusalem in the year 2000 after a backroom deal involving Chinese spies, the NRA, Swiss bankers, and a small group of Apostolic Christians that only baptize in Jesus’ name. He spends most of his time in closed countries attempting to topple governments by proclaiming the name of Jesus and not taking showers. From time-to-time he pretends to be a writer. He is not good at it, but everyone around him tries to humor him.
