AI Uses ‘Shroud of Turin’ to Recreate What Jesus Would Have Looked Like

The Shroud of Turin is the single most studied artifact in human history. It is a centuries-old linen cloth which many believe Jesus was wrapped and buried in.

The two-thousand year-old linen cloth bears the image of a crucified man. Modern science has completed hundreds of thousands of hours of detailed study and intense research on the Shroud and several studies have been unable to find a reason for the image on the cloth, other than a sudden powerful image of light.

Burned onto the cloth is the ghostly image of a man around six feet in height who bears wounds consistent with whipping and crucifixion. Also burned onto the cloth is the image of what appears to be a face.

Today, artificial intelligence has been used to recreate the face burned onto the cloth. The image is remarkable. If the shroud is what many believe it is, then the AI image recreated from the cloth would reveal what Jesus most likely looked like.
