A New Generation for the Mission Field

Numbers are one of the Bibles favorite storytelling devices, but few have more significance than seven.

This is podcast #777, and in this podcast that picture of surrender became real. Eugene has been speaking with a new generation of young believers in Dubai. As he so aptly describes, They are ready to give it all up for the call of the Gospel.” Eugene describes the classic example of this when a 19-year-old came to him in the UK and said he was willing to quit his job, sell what he owned, and move with a single carry-on bag to the Middle East to serve alongside our Back to Jerusalem missionaries. He didnt know where he was going to stay or any details, but he just wanted to say yes to God. He left it all on the table in the spirit of. Let us not grow weary of doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). In other words, when we step into the waters by faith, God will allow us to walk to Him.

This is what 777 looks like in the real world. A life thats not about what we can do to make our names great, but about telling others about who God is. Its a surrender, wholeness, faith that says, Lord, here am I. Send me.”
