The most watched BTJ YouTube video has just surpassed 200k views in less than 60 days.
We want to thank all of our BTJ supporters for such an amazing month on the social media site, YouTube. April 2024 has been the fastest growing month for BTJ on YouTube since we began posting random videos several years ago. Not only did our first video surpass 200k views, but subscriptions have skyrocketed over 400%!
What is happening?
BTJ’s relationship with YouTube has been one of love and hate. In the beginning, YouTube was a great platform to post ministry videos to share with supporters, but over the years there has been a clear political and religious bias. However, in the last few months, it seems that YouTube has let its guard down and BTJ subscribers have responded en masse!
The video to pass 200k was about Naghmeh Panahi regarding the underground church in Iran during a BTJ Voice of the Persecuted Church Conference. At the writing of this article, more than 212k people have watched it.
For large ministries and most YouTube superstars, our numbers are small and a video with 200k views would not mean much, but for a Chinese underground house church ministry, this last month has been extraordinary.
As a ministry, we primarily use YouTube to share exclusive content from the field in the form of short clips and podcasts. There is often a new video posted weekly on the BTJ YouTube channel and it has become an excellent place for supporters to find original content that can’t be found anywhere else.
