It is difficult for Christians in India to find a suitable partner. The tradition of elders and parents having a heavy influence on decision making effects many parts of Indian life, including marriage. An Indian brother joins Eugene on the podcast to shed light on this practice.

I’ve been going to India for around 20 years and this podcast subject of marriage in India, especially for believers, is so true. Marriage is THE Topic that nearly every conversation turns to, and one of the first questions I am asked when I meet someone new.
It’s a complete shock to them when I say I am single and happy to remain that way.
I would be surprised if there isn’t an Indian version of “Christian Mingle.”

Thanks for tackling this sensitive topic. As an Indian Christian myself, I can definitely relate to the challenges mentioned. Finding a suitable partner within the faith, while navigating the strong influence of elders and parents, can feel like walking a tightrope.
