Letter From the Swedish Office

Dear mission friend!

We are so thankful for your commitment to stand with us in our journey to support the mission of the underground Chinese church. We see a growing turbulence in almost all areas in our world. Nature is out of balance, world politics is full of question marks and corruption, Israel is under attack and many are still suffering from the aftermath of the pandemic and the fear of a new one. At the same time, technology advances with a rarely seen acceleration and many new discoveries are made with AI. It is, to say the least, a very fragmented world right now.

In the midst of this, God’s kingdom is moving forward. When the world is shaking, many people are looking for something stable and functional. The good news is that faith in Jesus both works and is stable. In all cultures and political systems, faith in Jesus is gaining new ground. The kingdom of God is advancing with power and is unstoppable.

One of the strong tools for this is the missionaries who work daily doing the small things, in areas no one has yet reached with the message of Jesus. These hidden heroes sacrifice everything to reach the many who are desperately searching for the light in a dark world. Afghanistan, Pakistan, North Korea, Syria, Yemen, Somalia are some countries in which Back to Jerusalem works to spread the gospel. These are countries where Christianity is not allowed to spread and where religious freedom is a non-existent privilege.

In our country there is still freedom to choose and believe what you want, which is an enormously precious luxury. Based on that opportunity and privilege, a responsibility is also born. A challenge to pray for the persecuted and, in some cases, martyred church, but also to pray for its missionaries.

In this newsletter you will get a small insight into what God is doing where no Instagram reel or Tik Tok clip reaches. They are miracles that happen in secret, but are seen by God. Through your prayers, your giving and interest in missions, you speed up the completion of the mission given to us by Jesus himself: reaching out to the whole world with the good news.

Thank you for your commitment and the love you show for the unreached. God will bless you abundantly!

  1. Like BTJ, “Far Flung Tin Can” is a group of young people who deliberatly focus on the most unreached areas where the Church has not yet been esstablished!
This includes the North & South Poles, deepest jungles and behind whatever “curtains” satan has erected!!! Please pray for them as you continue to pray for and support BTJ!!! God bless you all!!!
