Indian Christians Beaten for Refusing to do Tribal Rituals

I had just finished writing our June update for the website and sent it to our publishing department. I was still processing the heartbreaking church demolition and wondering how the believers would move forward.

I received this message on July 2,  another urgent prayer request. Reports came in from a village in Kanker district, Chhattisgarh, where tribal Christians were brutally beaten by fellow villagers. Their “offense” was that a few families who had accepted Christ refused to participate in traditional tribal rituals. The disagreement quickly turned violent, and several believers were severely assaulted. Please keep these brothers and sisters in your prayers.

I’m also sharing a video from another village in Chhattisgarh where 13 Christian families have been ostracized and driven from their homes. Sadly, this is not an isolated incident—it’s an ongoing pattern. I’ve honestly lost count of how many villages have experienced similar attacks.

The situation in Chhattisgarh continues to deteriorate. The hostility toward Christians is deeply troubling, and the persecution keeps intensifying.
