Have you ever been surprised on a random day when you met someone and your life was never the same? I am not commenting on the best day of our lives when we met the Beloved Son of the Living God, Jesus Christ. I refer to the connections with people, groups of people, that we connect with and after that, our lives are never the same. It’s amazing the way our Lord works with connections on earth.
A UN article shared that about 67% of the world’s population is connected to the internet, that is, 5.4 billion people. And a research from Oxford University suggests that on average, a person can meet between 5,000 and 10,000 people in their lifetime. Connections are one of the amazing ways the Lord accomplishes His work to bless His children and restore what has been lost.
So it was with the Shunammite woman who one day met a man of God, Elisha, and his servant Geashi. In 2 Kings 8:1-6, something surprising happens that resulted in a large restitution of goods and income. This woman had heard the voice of the prophet and left her country for 7 years. At the end of this cycle she returns with the purpose of asking the King that her land and house be restored to her. Here comes the glory of the Lord—at the very moment when she approaches the King, it is the same moment that the King is speaking with the servant Geasi about the very same thing. How can this happen? I don’t know, but I know that the Lord is amazing. The result of this connection is surprising and I invite you to read verse 6 later.
Our Lord does not just connect people, but He connects purposes. Because of a connection made in a prison in ancient Egypt, people from several countries did not starve. Genesis 40 shares this incredible episode where God generates a connection between Joseph and a cupbearer of Pharaoh. You know this story, but have in mind, this act that saved the world was born out of a connection in a prison.
Small beginnings, simple connections, and amazing impacts is one of the ways God reveals His Glory and abounds with His Grace upon the world. This has been the case with Back to Jerusalem and the Office in Brazil. The connection came through the last page of a book called The Man in the Sky (also known as The Heavenly Man). We sent the invitation and some time later, Brother Yun and Eugene Bach were visiting Brazil and from there, the office in Brazil began. We believe that a great movement is rising and together we will cooperate with the vision of BTJ and the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We declare that connections of the Lord will be made in your life, in which you will be tremendously blessed, and through you, people around you and in the world will be impacted by the Glory of the Lord.
In His love
