Have you ever wanted to hear first-hand what God is doing through the work of the Underground Chinese House Church? October is your opportunity if you live in the USA!
Every year BTJ runs several tours throughout the world. This October we will be in the USA the entire month! From South Carolina to Pennsylvania to Idaho, we will be traveling and sharing with anyone who comes out to listen.
Eugene Bach will be starting things off, speaking to university students at NC State and UNC. From there he will be traveling to the mid-west where he will be joined by Shagufta Kauser and her brother Joseph Jansen. For the next week they will be sharing together among the Amish and Mennonites in IN, OH and PA, but all are welcome! From there, Eugene will be heading west and Shagufta will be heading southeast.
Eugene’s main focus will be sharing about Bibles—where are the needs and how are those needs being met. Over the past several years, BTJ has been hosting an annual Hackers Conference where hackers from all over the world come together to create unique ways to get the gospel into closed nations. During Eugene’s time on the West Coast one of our hackers will be traveling with him. Some of the ideas and inventions they come up with will blow your mind!
Shagufta will be sharing her testimony of spending eight years on death row in a Pakistani prison. Falsely accused of blasphemy for sending a text in a language she did not speak from a phone she did not own, she was sentenced to be executed without once being given the opportunity to defend herself. Yet despite the odds against her, God never forgot her!
Her translator and brother, Joseph Jansen, will also be sharing about the true realities of the religion of Islam. If you have ever been confused about the motives behind the religion of Islam, you will want to come and hear the truth from those who grew up in it. Is Islam really a peaceful religion? Is ISIS just a rebellious group of Muslims? What does the Quran really say? Come and join us at one of Shagufta’s events to find these answers and to hear how God gave Shagufta strength during her time of imprisonment and finally set her free!
At every event we will have a resource table, where you can talk to the speakers and a BTJ representative, pick up literature, sign up for our newsletter, join Gatekeepers and get print or digital books that will help you better understand the vision of BTJ. Shagufta’s story, Under Threat of Death will also be available at all her speaking events. As always, all books are available for any donation, there will be no set prices, and 100% of all donations will go directly to the field.
If you cannot make it to any of these events but want someone from BTJ to come and share at your church, please send us an invitation. We accept invitations from anywhere in the world and try to fit them in when possible.
We hope to see you at one of these events!
