BTJ Martyrs Scholarship Fund

BTJ often works with persecuted Christians and many of them are largely unknown to the rest of the world. The thousands of nameless persecuted believers who are in prison or on the run, often have families. These are even less known, but they suffer too, in their own way. Fear, uncertainty and social isolation are just a few of the things families of persecuted Christians face on a daily basis. We can do very little to change the persecution, but there is one major thing Christians can do to help.

Support the children of persecuted Christians.

These persecuted Christian families often face financial difficulties, which impact their children’s future. Children drop out of school, are forced out, or there is no money for uniforms, books or bus fees. When a family flees to another country, children may need special help to learn a new language, or they may have to enroll in private institutions rather than government schools.

It is for these children of persecuted believers our Martyrs Scholarship Fund was launched. In the last decade, since starting the Martyrs Scholarship Fund, BTJ has been able to help persecuted families send their children to school from China, Vietnam, India, Bhutan, Iran, and Syria.

Through the Martyrs Scholarship Fund, BTJ is able to send funding every month to support the children of persecuted Christians to pay for tuition, clothing, food, and travel. This is a unique program that supports families who are suffering from persecution. Persecuted Christians are often arrested, thrown in prison, fired from their jobs, denied medical care for their family, and deprived of educational opportunities for their children, but with the BTJ Martyrs Scholarship, things can change.

A basic education for one of these precious children can mean all the difference in the world.
