Because of GateKeepers

There are several nations in the world today that are dangerous and where people are living without knowing the name of Jesus Christ. God has not forgotten them; He has called His Church to go out and preach the Good News to them. The underground church in China is responding to this calling and there are Christians who hunger to join them – but how?

If your heart burns with a desire for unreached tribes to come to know Jesus, then consider becoming a BTJ GateKeeper.

GateKeepers is a name given to trusted partners that join together with the underground house church of China to carry out the final command Jesus gave to His disciples in Matthew 28:18-20.

GateKeepers is a term that is rooted in the Biblical concept of those who were trustworthy, alert, and on-guard during times of war. They were a stationary unit supporting the ground troops by staying on guard against the attacks of the enemy.

The Temple of the Lord required gatekeepers and their duty was considered sacred (1 Chronicles 9:26; Nehemiah 12:47).

Gatekeepers were some of the first positions assigned by Nehemiah (Nehemiah 7:1).

Ezra records that 139 gatekeepers were appointed by the Lord (Ezra 2:42).

David and Samuel appointed 212 gatekeepers who were entrusted with the treasuries in the house of God. They would spend the night keeping watch, supporting the armies of God, and accounting for resources coming in and going out.

In this manner, BTJ GateKeepers join together with the armies of the Lord to complete the Great Commission. BTJ GateKeepers contribute time, efforts and resources to facilitate as much aid to the front lines as possible. Many GateKeepers have even sold their earthly belongings and treasures to see the Great Commission move forward taking Psalm 84:10 literally, “For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.”

“We have even seen BTJ written into people’s final will and testaments,” Bethany says, the director of Back to Jerusalem UK. Bethany has processed resources left behind by believers who wanted their last earthly possessions to be used by the underground house church of China to complete the Great Commission.

If you would like to join the vision and be a BTJ GateKeeper, the process is simple.

As a vital element of the BTJ team, GateKeepers take an oath to commit to monthly prayer and support. As a GateKeeper, you join us to:

  • Fulfill the Great Commission
  • Evangelize the unreached peoples in the 10/40 window
  • Record the Bible and teaching materials into the languages of unreached people groups
  • Support safe houses and minister to human trafficking victims
  • Train and send out missionaries who plant and work with churches, schools, and orphanages
  • Prepare, supply, and staff teams on the ground for the times when natural or other disasters strike

As a GateKeeper, you do this and so much more that is COMPLETELY illegal in closed nations. With your help of prayer and support, we can invade the enemy’s camp with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in ways that have never been dreamed of.
