Without the knowledge of their attorneys, the remaining eight imprisoned Zion church pastors and co-workers were officially indicted, on July 17th, 2026. The case has been transferred to the Beihai City Yinhai District People’s Procuratorate for review and prosecution.
The lack of transparency violates Articles 261 and 262 of the Rules of Criminal Procedure of the People’s Procuratorate.
Until their illegal formal indictment, the aforementioned eight pastors and co-workers have been illegally detained on suspicion of “fraud” and/or “illegal business operations.”
Since October 9, 2025, a total of 23 co-workers and pastors were detained. To date, 14 have been released on bail, with pending prosecution.
On July 3rd, 2026, founding Pastor, Ezra Jin, was released without prosecution. He is now in the United States advocating for his fellow Chinese Christians.
Please pray for the remaining eight imprisoned pastors and co-workers; and their families: Wang Lin, Yin Huibin, Gao Yingjia, Wang Cong, Wu Qiuyu, Wang Zhong, Lin Shucheng, and Liu Zhenbin.
