WORLD LARGEST PRISON – 225 MILLION CHINESE IN COVID LOCKDOWN

When does it end? Beijing has put 28 cities in lockdown with close to 225 million people imprisoned in their home. Wuhan, a city of roughly 13 million people, is the latest to go into lockdown due to reports of only 20-25 new cases of Covid infections a day this week.
Through Covid, Chinese leader, Xi Jinping, who has just been made “leader for life,” has created the world’s largest prison in China. The people are basically living from lockdown to lockdown.
The church has been transformed by the Covid-19 lockdown policies in ways that are still not fully apparent. Lockdowns have prevented face-to-face meetings, online meeting apps have blocked Christian content, mobile apps are needed for general movement preventing home group meetings, foreign missionary connections severed, online Bible resources largely blocked, financial support through banking stopped, illegal cash flow for support halted, and evangelistic outreach efforts constantly interrupted and postponed.
While the rest of the world has basically moved on and found ways to adjust with Covid-19, China is using public safety measures as a way to implement some of the most intrusive control measures the world has ever seen.
