What the Media isn’t Telling You – The REAL Reason Why the Floods in Libya Were Deadly
Emergency reaction teams are begging for help in Libya to retrieve the overwhelming number of dead bodies killed in devastating floods that swept through the eastern city of Derna, killing thousands.
Over a week ago, Libya was slammed by floods, creating one of the most deadly natural disasters this year with 11,000 dead, more than 10,000 still missing, and over 40,000 displaced. Dead bodies are in the water, with some corpses in areas that can only be reached using special equipment. The 10,000 people who are missing are difficult to identify because the bodies are in such a progressed state of decomposing.
The situation is extreme, but why it is so deadly is being skewed by international news agencies with specific agendas. Many are reporting that the lethal impact of the floods are the result of the accelerating climate crisis.
This is not entirely true and here’s why.
The storm brought more than 400mm of rain to parts of the north-east coast of Libya within a 24-hour period. Though this is dangerous, states like Texas have reported over 1,000 mm of rain in a 24 hour period.
So, why were Libya’s floods so deadly?
The truth is something that no one wants to say – and that is the religion of Islam has crippled the nation and put people at risk. The floods highlight the problem. Libya’s economy, trade, government, and infrastructure are all heavily influenced by Libya’s Sharia Law. Libya has not seen anything but poor educational institutions, failing economic policies, and deteriorating infrastructure since fully implementing Sharia Law.
CNN and BBC have reported that the storm was deadly as a result of “the accelerating climate crisis,” but the truth is, the deaths were exacerbated because the dams that were meant to control the flow of the water were destroyed by the floods after decades of government neglect and political conflict due to Islamic extremism.
The deteriorating dams are at the center of the high death rate in Libya and they have been in a state of decline for decades as the nation has grown more Islamic and anti-Christian.
Preaching the Gospel message is illegal in Libya. Distribution of Bibles is illegal in Libya. Anyone caught converting to Christianity in Libya is punished by death. There is no freedom of religion in Libya and the people perish because of it.
This strong focus on Islam has led to extremism and that has led to the poor structures and systems in Libya. Perhaps the deadly climate in Libya is not caused by the weather as main stream media will tell you, but Islam.

Iwhike I agree with most of your opinion, I disagree that Islam is to blame. Poor leadership and bad governance is more likely the cause. And Islamic nations are not alone in this. What about the USA – a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles, but now a largely Godless culture. And Canada with its increasingly communistic laws and unGodly agenda. Even in the UK preventable flooding has occurred as a result of Government indifference and negligence. Not to the same tragic extent, thank God, but it makes the point nonetheless.. Humanity’s lack of love and consideration for one another is at the root of many great catastrophes. Greed, corruption, love of money and power and other wicked forces whice drive many of today’s world leaders are to blame in my opinion. While Islam isa flawed religion, full of inconsistencies and contradictions, at least many humble followers worship God and not themselves. And any Muslim who genuinely seeks the truth, and actually reads the Koran rather than lazily and blindly following, will see the inconsistencies and ultimately be led to Christianity. After all, humans were given thinking brains to be used…..
Unless God is reigning in the hearts of man, the people will perish. All we need to do is read the Old Testament and learn from it “obedience to God” is blessed. The Israelites and also their pagan neighbors were examples for us, yet the people perish for lack of knowledge, HIS word. There’s nothing new under the sun and it’s horrifying to see people have to go through this , yes their pagan worship is most definitely at the root of all suffering.
