URGENT: BTJ Needs Your Help in Europe

Our Bible sweatshop at the Hackers Cave is back and we need your help!

This summer, we need help for secret electronic Bible production to go into closed countries. Do you have one or two weeks available this summer between now and the end of August to stop everything, jump on a plane and join our BTJ Hacker team in Europe?

We simply need people who are good at fiddling with small parts, do not mind doing simple, monotonous tasks and want to help get Bibles into closed nations.

This work will require you to think small, enjoy a challenge and be ready to adjust your expectations when necessary.

Jobs that need doing include 3D printing, laser cutting, soldering, testing and lots of assembly work. The tasks are simple and we will teach you everything you need to know. Do not expect a corporate work environment. Think informal, organic, and creative-think Hackers Cave.

You will work with Christians who may not be from your country, do not share all your theological viewpoints and who may have different political preferences. So, be ready to unite in essentials and enjoy the diversity.

We plan to open the sweatshop from July 11 to August 1. You can apply to join one, two or all three weeks, with Saturday being the travel day.

You will be housed with a Christian family. Accommodation will be basic and you may have to share a room. Privacy is limited, but there is plenty of outdoor space to walk and a forest to escape to. European style meals will be provided. A supermarket is in walking distance if you want to eat something specific.

If this is an interest for you, APPLY RIGHT NOW. Only a few spots are available.

We would love for you to join us to learn more about missions in closed countries. We will also have gatherings in the evenings to learn more about the nations BTJ works in and why we do what we do!

There will also be some free time to explore the surrounding historical European towns and countryside, and depending on when people travel, we may organise a day trip.

This means you ONLY pay for flights and your travel insurance.

If you are accepted we ask that you do NOT post online or on social media about your reason for traveling or any pictures or information about what you are doing. You can post your tourist selfies and tell your friends privately what you are up to and of course ask them to pray.

You need to be able to tolerate cats, although you do not need to like them!

Please send an application letter to fieldoperator@backtojerusalem.com detailing why you would like to do this and include a reference from a leader of your church who knows you well.
