UK Names Iran Second Most Potent Threat – How Big of a Threat is Iran Really?

For around two decades, Iran has been striving to give the impression that they have no ambition to create nuclear weapons and that all their nuclear programs are geared towards providing alternative sources of energy.

We can now see how foolish believing that has become.

Over the past ten years, the UK security services have ranked Russia as the greatest threat to their national wellbeing, with China being a close second. Why then is the Islamic Republic of Iran now considered to be posing the second most potent threat to the UK? The ayatollahs have made military strength a priority while the rest of the world has been distracted by Russia and Ukraine.

Alarm bells were raised among Western security officials when nuclear inspectors found traces of uranium enriched to 83.7% at Iran’s Fordow facility. Their perception of the Iranian threat changed. This bunker, built deep underground and protected by mountains, is impervious to airstrike threats from the outside world, thus serving as a secure shelter for their operations.

This reminds me of the slogan that we should be advancing upon the enemy with Bibles not bombs. In Psalm 37:11 it that says the meek shall inherit the earth, and they shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. So, what is the proper reaction to these events? It should not be a reaction of depression, fear, or anger, but instead we need to cling onto the promise that God will give us peace.

Therefore, let us keep pointing to the weapon that gives life and renews the spirit, so that we can love our enemies into Heaven.

I am a Messianic Jewish believer that felt the tug of the L-rd towards the unreached. I decided I would go to China. My love for the Chinese people grew while I was there, but when I learned of the Back to Jerusalem movement, I knew the L-rd wanted me to be proclaiming His gospel message to the unreached people between China and Jerusalem. Let’s unite and complete the great commission. We need to accept the challenge Jesus has given us so that we can feel the exhilaration of victory.
