“Muslims love Jesus.” This is the message from well-known American conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson and it is an extremely dangerous one.
In a recent X post, Tucker Carlson attacked President Donald Trump for reposting an extremely blasphemous image that depicted him as Jesus, saying “The people in charge don’t want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus. Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That’s why Donald Trump’s painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.”
What makes this post so dangerous is that it comes from a self-proclaimed Christian and as a mission organization that works in Muslim nations between China and Jerusalem, it is clear that this this message is meant to cause confusion.
First, it is important to explain that Muslims do not love Jesus. That statement is a completely false. The Jesus spoken about in the Quran is not the Jesus of the Bible. Muslims hate the Jesus of the Bible. That is why nine of the ten most dangerous nations in the world for Christians to live in are Muslim nations. This is not by accident. It is by design.
The Quran is an anti-Jesus book, not a pro-Jesus book. The entire bloody history of Islam is one of anti-Jesus agenda, forcing Christians to deny Jesus or die. Muhammad killed Christians and instructed his followers to do the same if they did not deny Jesus Christ (Surah 9:29). Since the dawn of Islam, Muslims have set about to conquer Christian countries, kill Christian believers, enslave Christian women and children and force all survivors to convert to Islam.
Muslims strongly believe that Jesus is not God, they forbid anyone to confess their sins to Jesus, and teach that He did not die on the cross for our sins. The Jesus of the Quran deny the three things are essential to the teachings of Jesus Himself. Throughout history, Muslims have either killed Christians for maintaining the beliefs of what Jesus taught or forced them to pay a tax or jizya as a form of punishment for not denying Jesus.
In fact, in every Muslim nation on earth today, it is illegal to abandon Islam and follow Jesus. Iran, the very nation that Tucker Carlson refers to as being “offended” by the blasphemous image, kills anyone that accepts to follow the teachings of Jesus. That is not love for Jesus. That is the opposite of love for Jesus.
Do Muslims believe in Jesus? Yes and so does Satan and no one is arguing that Satan loves Jesus.
In BTJ’s book, JIHAD: THE DAY I DIED, Brother Abdull shares his story of seeking Jesus in Iran. When he agreed to follow the teachings of Jesus, he was put on death row. At least 19 Christians have been killed for their faith in Jesus Christ this year alone. Last year in 2025, 96 Iranian Christians were thrown in prison for refusing to deny Jesus Christ, receiving a total of 280 years in prison, with at least 11 receiving sentences of 10 years or more.
In fact, the Islamic leaders in Iran hate Christians so much that they sentenced Narges Nasri, a pregnant mother, to 16 years in prison for choosing to follow the teachings of Jesus.
The sad hard truth is that Islamic teachings hate the Jesus of the Bible. The Quran attacks the true Jesus by creating a false Jesus. The message that Muslims love Jesus is a lie that hides the persecution that Christians face every day in Islamic nations. The lie is especially dangerous when coming from fellow Christians, because it has the potential to create confusion that can easily lead to both ignorance and apathy towards Christians who suffer for their faith in Islamic nations.
