Tsimtsum: How God Reveals Himself to Man

Brother Yun, also known as the Heavenly Man, often speaks about God opening doors and closing doors in reference to nations that are closed to the Gospel message.
I have heard the same message from my Rabbi, who said in early in 2020 that he had been shown that we had entered the days of apostasy.
This vision that Brother Yun and the underground house church have, has propelled the BTJ vision to continue in the last days to attempt to move forward at a greater pace than before, in order to reach unreached people groups.
During this time in history, there seems to be people groups that have been reserved for the last days. In the Gospel of John 1:1-5, we find a concept of how God is restricting Himself, so that humanity can access essential Truth. This is known as tsimtsum in Hebrew, which means “reduction.”
Tsimtsum is the concept of divine energy reduction and people who follow it, strongly believe in it. It is somewhat like using transformers to diminish voltage of electricity created from turbine generators until it is low enough for usage in regular light bulbs. Similarly, the divine energy needs to be stepped down so that the created world can handle it. The more tsimtsum is applied, the less impact the divine energy generated by divine presence will have on the world.
We can see that God has applied tsimtsum throughout the Torah. This is how an infinite God can reveal Himself to the finite creatures He has created. We should realize that this is how Jesus became the greatest cross-cultural missionary that has ever existed. David Joannes expresses this concept excellently in his book, Mind of a Missionary (p.81).
In the last days, we can see the chain of thoughts that connect the patterns throughout Scripture, and we can understand that we are to follow Jesus’ example and be a force to spread the Gospel to all people.
