Tribal Priest Accepts Christ!

A testimony just came in today from a BTJ partnering missionary in India about a tribal priest who has accepted Christ.

A tribal priest in India reported that he felt the dark demonic forces of his fields start to work against him. He has spent his entire life serving the gods of his region of India, but in the last ten years something changed. The demons that he so diligently served and taught others to serve no longer worked for him, but against him.

“[I] sensed that there was a dark evil force residing inside [my] paddy field,” he wrote in a message. “None of [my] efforts helped remove the darkness from the field. In [my] struggle, [I] lost two sons and a wife. They drowned in a pond adjacent to the paddy field.”

The priest had family members who had become Christians and for a period of about ten years, he witnessed how their lives had been transformed. He saw that there was something different about them. They didn’t fear their God, instead they loved Him and proclaimed that He loved them as well. It was such a strange thing to witness, because the tribal priest lived in constant fear of the demons that he served.

A few months ago, an evangelist working together with our BTJ partner in India traveled to the area and shared the Gospel message of peace and love with the tribal priest. The tribal priest doubted there was anything that could be done to help chase out the demon from his field that had killed his wife and children and had been tormenting him for years.

After praying for his over his field, the priest saw an immediate transformation and the darkness had been defeated. In fact, this year, his crop produced more than it had ever produced before!

Last week on December 10, the tribal priest asked Jesus into his heart and is now a follower of Jesus.
