The Longing of the Bride of Christ

“And the Spirit and the bride say: Come!”
Jesus promised that he would return to pick up his glorious Bride; the church that has been prepared for about two thousand years. The Holy Spirit partakes in this same desire. When we share about Jesus´ return and cry out “Maranatha” the Spirit testifies and fires up our spirit, longing and dreaming about the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
The signs of Jesus´ return has been intensified. Wars don’t stop. The persecution of the church increases. The political and social line up to pave the way for a one world government. The fig tree (Israel) that has flourished. Natural disasters, like the most recent earthquake in Turkey, have unfortunately produced thousands of fatalities.
We believe that all the conditions for Jesus’ glorious return are being fulfilled, except for what Jesus foretold in Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Recent studies indicate that there are still around 7,000 people groups not reached by the gospel, in the region often defined as the 10/40 Window.
Aware of this reality, the Body of Christ that desires the return of Jesus Christ strives for every people, tribe, language and nation to know the good news of the Gospel of grace that saves, sets free, heals, restores and reconciles men with God. We endlessly preach about the sacrifice of the Lamb, who forgives and cleanses from sin those who believe.
We know that the waiting of Jesus’ return produces joy in the victorious church on the one hand and persecution of the body of Christ on the other. Jesus never said that it would be easy. On the contrary, he promised that we would be afflicted, that we would be persecuted for righteousness, but he also promised that he would be with us.
The Brazilian church, a relevant part of the body of Christ on earth, joins missionary efforts so that the powerful message echoes among the unreached ones and is expectant for the greatest harvest in history, thus honoring the sacrifice of the Lamb. Every genuine spiritual revival sits on missionary passion. Our voices can also be heard, Maranatha! Come Jesus.
