Back to Jerusalem missionaries from China are focused on completing the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel with all of the nations between China and Jerusalem. The Muslim nations are in the middle of that corridor. The House of Muhammad controls all of the nations between the Western Wall of Jerusalem and the Great Wall of China.

Syria is one of those nations that is a target nation of the Chinese missionaries who have this vision called, “Back to Jerusalem.”

At the writing of this prayer guide, the Back to Jerusalem missionaries have been working in Syria for more than 15 years. Because of security reasons, it is not possible to give specifics about the place or nature of their projects in Syria. There are not many Chinese citizens in Syria doing what the BTJ missionaries are doing, so even the smallest details could be a security breach and help the government identify what they are doing.

What can be shared is that BTJ missionaries from China have been providing much needed supplies in some of the most impoverished areas of Syria since the first day that they arrived. They have been helping both the physical needs as well as the spiritual needs in Syria.

Prayer

Pray for the Chinese missionaries who are traveling, living, working, and sharing in Syria today. May the favor of the Lord be upon them as they labor to complete the Great Commission.

Scripture

“And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

“Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again. Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of any of you. For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
