The Back To Jerusalem Podcast

Many mistake the idea of Back to Jerusalem as a movement of the Chinese church to evangelize Jerusalem. However, Back to Jerusalem is the goal of the Chinese church to evangelize the unreached peoples from eastern provinces of China, westwards towards Jerusalem. Our organization partners with the church of China to not only evangelize the religiously oppressed areas of Asia, but to also train and send Chinese missionaries into the unreached regions of the globe, including Muslim, Buddhist, and Hindu nations. This podcast is a publication of the 501(c)(3) organization Back To Jerusalem and chronicles our experiences from the field.
CRISIS: EXTREME BIBLE SHORTAGE IN CHINA
The Bible is under attack in China and access is as crisis levels. While the rest of the world is concentrating on the coronavirus, China is making aggressive moves to remove the Bible from China once and for all. “Is there really a need for more Bibles,” a pastor asked me in 2008, just before the Beijing Olympics. “I have

Several pastors connected with BTJ have been arrested in the last couple of months and are being held in ‘black prisons’ or detention facilities that are not registered as regular holding facilities. Now we know, at least in part, why. According to BTJ sources, in one area of central China the Chinese government have hired 500 college-age secret agents to

I have spent the last six years following the footsteps of revival and learning lessons about missions from the first century church. When I first started this journey, I NEVER dreamed that I would discover the history about homosexuality and persecution against early believers – but that is exactly what I found. What I stumbled across while researching the history

China continues to persecute Christians. On April 4, 2018, China produced White Papers, a list of new legislation that clarifies existing laws. This move is very unique. The first publication of this kind was produced in 1997, but that was more than 20 years ago, and China is a different place today than it was when these were first produced.

Due to new strict laws, Chinese churches are going back underground. Persecution is increasing. Please pray for strength for believers to bear up, and for increased revival.

Back to Jerusalem is a movement founded on a willingness to suffer and sacrifice for the gospel. Last spring, a young Chinese brother and sister payed the ultimate price when they were abducted and later killed by ISIS terrorists in Pakistan. Their death was an embarrassment for Pakistan, a country that has a great economical interest in keeping Chinese ex-pats

Do you ever wonder why the Church in China and the 10/40 window is so lively, while the Church in the West is so sleepy and ineffective? Now hold on a second – this statement is obviously a broad, sweeping generalization. Not all churches and believers in the West are sleepy and ineffective, and I would imagine that the reverse

The Middle East is not known as an area where it is easy to be a woman. Patriarchal structures run deep, not only among Muslims, but also among Christians. Therefore, it is remarkable that the National Evangelical synod of Syria and Lebanon recently decided to ordain their first two female pastors. For the National Evangelical Church of Beirut, it was

It has been said by someone (though I can’t remember whom) that the blood of the martyrs is the seed of revival. This principle can be seen in Psalm 126:6, which says, “He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him” (ESV). It’s a clear Biblical principle

All foreign Christians working in China and North Korea know that there is a chance their work will get them in trouble with authorities, no matter how hard they try to benefit their adopted country. But it is not always the work that leads to trouble. As foreigners, they can become unwilling actors in high level political games. This was
