The Back To Jerusalem Podcast

Many mistake the idea of Back to Jerusalem as a movement of the Chinese church to evangelize Jerusalem. However, Back to Jerusalem is the goal of the Chinese church to evangelize the unreached peoples from eastern provinces of China, westwards towards Jerusalem. Our organization partners with the church of China to not only evangelize the religiously oppressed areas of Asia, but to also train and send Chinese missionaries into the unreached regions of the globe, including Muslim, Buddhist, and Hindu nations. This podcast is a publication of the 501(c)(3) organization Back To Jerusalem and chronicles our experiences from the field.
The Underground House Church in North Korea
When someone mentions the nation of North Korea – what comes to mind? Bombs? Dictators? Axis of evil? What if I told you North Korea used to be one of the most Christian nations in Asia? Would you believe me? North Korea is not what you think it is. One of the greatest revivals in the history of Asia took

Rachel (not her real name) got a text message on her phone that her church in Shanghai was going to meet today on Sunday. Her church had not come together on Sunday for more than six months. Because of the increase of persecution against Christians in Shanghai, Rachel’s church had to change the meeting to days of the week that

As Christian parents, we all want to provide a godly world view for our children, but how do we do that? In today’s globally interconnected world, where our children’s attention is constantly competing with Internet, computer games, mass marketing, and peer pressure, it is increasingly difficult to cut through the noise to instill the teachings of Christ. Our hope is

Designing a Comparative World Religions course for an online Christian high school is an interesting proposition – probably because there are so many ways to approach it. I recently moved to a new city with my wife and children to start a job with a Christian school here in Canada, and I was asked to do just that. Actually, I

Inside North Korea, working behind the bamboo curtain, BTJ missionaries have been risking their lives to smuggle in Bibles. BTJ missionaries from China are smuggling thousands of small electronic bibles into the nation right under the noses of the North Korean guards. If they are caught, they could be beaten, thrown into prison, or worse. Every day, BTJ missionaries from

It has been said by someone (though I can’t remember whom) that the blood of the martyrs is the seed of revival. This principle can be seen in Psalm 126:6, which says, “He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him” (ESV). It’s a clear Biblical principle

Over the years, our Chinese BTJ people have gained extensive experience with greenhouses, especially with aquaponics. This technique combines the raising of fish and vegetables in one greenhouse system. In many areas, it is a challenge to get a steady supply of healthy food. Building and maintaining greenhouses is a way to bless the local population who live in places
Continue ReadingPRACTICAL SUPPORT FOR OUR PROJECTS
One of the ways in which we want to serve Christian projects is by helping them develop a reliable power supply. The lack or deficiency of a power grid frustrates the work that is being done and makes people’s daily lives much more complicated. Over the years we have built up experience in developing sustainable power supplies in places where

When you think about Islamic terrorism, what part of the world springs to mind? The Middle East? New York City? Somewhere in Europe like London, Paris or Oslo? These parts of the world have all experienced well-publicized acts of terrorism – some of them more frequently than others. Regardless of what city, country or region comes to mind for you,

Which country sends out the most missionaries per capita? And, which country receives the most missionaries? Do you know? The answers will probably surprise you. Consider the following statistics: About two thirds of the world’s population lives inside of what we call the “10/40 Window”. For those new to the world of international missions, the term “10/40 Window” refers to
