I flew in to the Philadelphia International Airport for just a few short hours yesterday to meet with a couple of attendees from the BTJ Hackers Conference. I had not seen them since the last hackers conference in February and was excited to see what they had developed.
I was hoping to hear a bit about the project developments, but due to security, we have not shared much about the projects in emails and messaging apps.
The hackers had been working on two secret projects that I have been super excited about, but nothing could have prepared me for what they showed me yesterday. Operating under the principle that the best hackers are those who are inspired by the Spirit of the Lord, they unveiled two of the most jaw-dropping products that I could have imagined!
Feats like the clandestine BTJ Gospel Cloud unit that shares the Gospel message on trains and in bus stops, the pill-sized hologram Bible, and a credit card size digital Bible with a battery that lasts for seven years without charging, to name just a few of the past products, one never knows what to expect. Only last week, during our BTJ tour in the Amish and Mennonite areas of Ohio and Indiana, I met with one of our hackers who created a special image of Kim Jong Un with a voice command installation unit that preaches the Gospel!
“This is it,” Mike said (not his real name) as he passed to me a mobile phone.
I held it in my hand and was not that impressed. It looked like a mobile phone. “What is it?”
“Open it up and find out.” With a quick swipe of the screen, I opened it up to find a simple layout with preprogrammed numbers. “Go ahead,” he said watching me stumble around the layout with my clumsy fingers. “Push the call button and see what happens.”
I pushed the number and immediately saw the face of my friend working in a closed country.
I made my first call using the BTJ BLACK PHONE.
Due to security, I cannot give any further details about the phone except that I was not using a regular cell phone. Though it looked like a modern mobile phone, it was actually a special communication device that allowed me to talk with my friends without registering for a service, identification to a cell phone tower, the use of a SIM card, and without a data plan. It uses a new system that transfers bits of data in a manner that doesn’t allow anyone to trace the call, listen in to conversations, or track text messages.
If that wasn’t enough, I was taken into another room and shown the newest development from another group of hackers. This was a new invention that used the newest AI technology to physically transfer Bibles over the border of closed countries.
Again, due to security, further details cannot be shared, but the special unit is able to travel an incredible distance of about 200 miles to independently deliver Bibles to those living in nations where owning a Bible is illegal.
BTJ Hackers are not paid by BTJ. They are merely a group of like-minded individuals who want to use their skills and resources to get the Gospel message into hostile nations. The BTJ Hackers conference is an annual event that allows IT specialists, software engineers, program writers, and cyber-security experts to gather together with like-minded believers from around the globe.
The Hackers conference has been attended by Christians who work for secular entities like Google, Facebook, CIA, NASA, military cyber warfare units, and they bring their experience and expertise to the table to develop the latest technology for the kingdom.
The BTJ Hackers conference is hosted in a relaxed atmosphere in a large cabin in the remote mountains of an undisclosed location with only about 40-60 attendees. Keeping the event small allows a spirit of fellowship to develop.
The event is open to all ages. If you or someone you know would like to attend the next BTJ Hackers Conference click below:
