Join us behind the scenes on our exclusive Back to Jerusalem News Telegram channel to find out what isn’t published in our BTJ Newsletter and on our website.
Every day, BTJ missionaries are sending updates from the field and partners in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and America are updating on our Back to Jerusalem News Telegram channel. The Telegram channel offers our prayer partners exciting information about what is happening, as it is happening.
The BTJ website and Newsletter require sources, editing, security steps, etc and are limited by space, but our Telegram channel is run by our digital nomads in the Middle East and do not have a fixed location. They update the channel on the move and share information that you will not get anywhere else.
BTJ uses several communication apps like Signal, Threema, and DingDash but Telegram has been a great alternative to communicate with partners once we bailed on Whatsapp.
Also, the cool story of Telegram appeals to us at BTJ because it was started by two Russian brothers to evade the oversite of the Russian government. When Russia demanded access to Telegram’s user data, they refused and then fled. Following the story closely, the entire thing felt like some things that we have done in China and was the reason we started DingDash.
WhatsApp did the opposite of Telegram and DingDash when they allowed gross amounts of access to data by the US government and Facebook.
If not, it is very simple to download on your phone from any app store.
