Eugene wants to start out 2022 a little differently than years past. For the last year or so, one of the things he has noticed is a widespread focus on centralized power. This isn’t new. This has happened before. There seems to be echoes of the rise of communism from the early 20th century reverberating today, and Eugene wants to discuss something that represents the Chinese efforts on this front… Mao’s Little Red Book. Join him on this mini-series podcast to begin 2022.

Hello Eugene,
thank you for this insightful analysis. However, there is something which seems to make the present situation more complicated. Big tech corporations and big industrialists – who would be called “enemies” by Mao – are embracing and financing communism, are censoring speech on behalf of communism, and are rolling out the identification and tracking technology which will enable them to implement a social credit system in the West. It looks like big tech and big finance have assumed the role which the proletariat played in Mao’s time. What are your thoughts about this?
